We pride ourselves on capturing your day, and showing you not just the beautiful memories you take away yourself, but also usually parts of the day that you might not even have been aware happened!
Our package begins with an indepth conversation and planning session with you, so that we can get to know you, and understand exactly your plans for the day, and how we can best capture those intentions.
When the big day arrives, we include 10 hours of filming, from getting ready, through the ceremony, the reception, the speeches, and to the first dances – your whole day, captured.
Your package consists of 3 films:
- 1 minute condensed highlights, for social media
- 5-7 minutes highlights reel
- All raw footage as a single timeline
Should you wish to have full edits of specific elements of your day (for example, the ceremony in full [rather than the highlights], or the speeches in full), we can add these at extra cost.
A word about film length
There’s a degree of addressing the “elephant in the room” here: most things to do with weddings, unfortunately, are a significant financial investment, and whilst we of course seek to provide maximum value, this can seem at odds with the suggestion of “short films” as the final product. Couples very often assume that everything that’s shot will be preserved in the final film, and of course that’s very understandable.
It may seem counter-intuitive, but most people don’t really want to watch films like that. Even (and this might seem very counter-intuitive!) the couple themselves may rarely end up watching such a film. What is much more powerful and watchable is the condensing the key parts, tightly edited into a emotional and compelling reel.
This is generally quite standard across the industry, and there are many articles online going into more detail as to why 5-10 minutes really is the optimal length of a wedding film. For now, we’ll summarise by saying that we strongly suggest to couples that our standard package meets the needs of the vast majority of our couples. However, our job is, of course, to deliver what you want, and we are always happy to have the conversation should you desire to add on something extra. But we believe, like the majority of our couples, that the package listed above will surprise and delight you as a record of your day.
